Ashley and Joe’s fall wedding at Northampton Valley Country club was beyond stunning. Ashley and Joe- you have such a special place in my heart, congratulations!
I was so thrilled when these two asked Ian and I to shoot their wedding. Ian and Joe met years ago, and since then all four of us have become close. These two are so down to earth with a wonderful sense of humor- I knew their wedding would be spectacular.
When I found out Ashley's vision for the wedding, I was thrilled. Her bridesmaids rocked white and mushroom colored dresses with beautiful pink bouquets of roses. She handmade all of the bouquets and they turned out fantastic.
Of course I'm always eager to see the bride's dress. Ashley's dress was definitely not ordinary- she wore a beautiful blush a-line dress with floral detailing at the top. She turned heads all day.
One of the most exciting parts of the day for me was coordinating the first look. Ashley came up with the wonderful idea to shoot at a rustic barn she noticed months prior. It was old and worn, but had many beautiful qualities and a lot of character- including the blue windows and doors.
Ashley & Joe's wedding party was a blast. We gathered on the golf course for group photos and it was so much fun (minus the goose poop)
And then came the ride on the golf cart at sunset featuring a bottle of champagne...
The outdoor ceremony was beautiful. The isle had lanterns and the chairs were surrounded by pumpkins and fall decor. The bride and groom stood in front of a big white gazebo, which made for an excellent backdrop for photos.
The reception was definitely party oriented. The entire night the dance floor was packed. Oh and the food was FANTASTIC if I do say so myself. A pasta bar?!?! The sparkler exit was also gorgeous 🤩
My favorite moments of the day:
-Waking up to bagels and coffee- THANK YOU ASH!
-Taco the cat escaping because we left the screen door open for the opening of the champagne bottle...
-Ashley insisting on showing off her llama socks in some photos before getting dressed (she is llama obsessed)
-Ashley driving to the venue in her dress
-Driving the golf cart across the course at sunset
-Sparkler exit & our attempt at long exposures
**Shout out to Amanda and Sarah for helping with moving the dress outside- couldn't have done it without you!
I am especially grateful for opportunities to work with couples who make me feel like more than just the photographer on their wedding day. The thing I loved MOST about the entire day wasn’t the stunning fall colors, the gorgeous venue, the beautiful flowers, or the tasty food. It was Ashley and Joe themselves. Their kindness was incredible- they made Ian and I feel so welcome and put their complete trust in us throughout the day. Since we all met years back, Ashley and Joe went from being complete strangers to people who are honestly my friends. They are welcoming, friendly, and fun. Getting to know them has been such a blessing in my life. Thank you so much Ashley and Joe, you are both wonderful.
