Where to even begin with Acacia and Tyler’s beautiful wedding day?! The entire day was magical from start to finish. The couple had great style and fun attitudes which made for an awesome and heartfelt day of shooting.
The Barn at Flying Hills is a cute little venue that provided us with great light, and overall, a great atmosphere. We got lucky that day, no rain! The sunlight was shining down the majority of the day, and added a warmth to the photos. The ceremony was very intimate, and was held in the small garden behind the venue. The girls all walked down the isle barefoot, holding their beautiful bouquets.
Acacia looked absolutely stunning in her gown. Her soft hairstyle and flawless makeup made everything come together. The stunning bouquets only added to the aesthetic. I hung out with the girls all morning, while Ian followed the boys.
It was clear how in love the couple was. It was fun documenting their chemistry- like two best friends who are extremely comfortable with one another but who also still flirt with each other. Their love is playful and goofy, yet strong and passionate. They exchanged hand written letters before the ceremony to read as they were getting ready. I love when couples do unique things that add personal touches throughout their day.
It was such a great experience to work with Acacia and Tyler. They are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met and were very welcoming throughout the entire shooting/editing process. They could not have been nicer.
Some of my favorite moments:
-Watching the bridesmaids and bride’s look come together as they got their hair and makeup done.
-Watching Acacia’s grandmother give her “something blue,” which was a beautiful blue ring that has been passed down generations.
-Shooting a vintage compact mirror that was passed down to Acacia from her grandmother who passed.
-Witnessing the flower girls kiss the bride (right after her makeup was done) with lip gloss on! Acacia ended up with two lipstick kisses on her cheeks (oops).
-Celebrating at the reception Greek style- they sure do know how to party.
-Working with the videographer, Tiffany, who helped coordinate group shots after the ceremony. Thanks Tiffany! See her work here
-At the end of the day when Tyler said “You guys at least had a beer, right?!”
Acacia and Tyler, thank you for having me as a part of your wedding day. I had such a wonderful time! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.
