For 40 years Clark Park has been hosting the Music and Arts Festival. This tradition at 43rd and Chester has provided the neighborhood with a celebration involving art, food, and music. This year, The Dead Milkmen headlined the event. The last time they played at Clark Park was 1993, so I decided to get a few shots during their set.
The Dead Milkmen are a punk rock band formed in 83. They are originally from Philadelphia, and quickly became relevant in Philadelphia's punk rock circuit. The band distinguished themselves in the hardcore punk scene in the 80's and eventually developed an underground following. They parted ways in 1998, but reunited in 2008 to release a new album. Even today, they still influence the punk rock scene and continue to play shows.
