Do you require a retainer fee?

Yes, I require a 20% retainer to offically secure your wedding date. This is applied to the total amount due.

How would you describe your style?

SHOOTING During the majority of any wedding day, I'm always looking for the best light. I take a hands on approach to capturing authentic moments by using ideal light and incorporating prompts and natural poses so you don't have to worry about what to do with your hands/face. The reception and ceremony usually give me opportunities to capture in a more photojournalistic fashion. Documentary photography has always influenced me, so I look for ways to create dynamic compositions that capture special moments in a unique way. EDITING In a sense, I am a natural light photographer. My editing is bright, but not too bright. My images are true to color, and I typically shoot wide open for a soft background. I do not use heavy filters or presets on my images- I prefer a clean, natural look. I love happy, genuine, goofy and romantic images, so expect to recieve all of the above. Natural light is my friend, and I will shoot in it as long as possible to preserve the natural beauty and glow of nature. Later in the evening I switch to on/off camera flash.

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I shot my first wedding for a friend in June of 2015. At this point in my career I have tackled my own weddings, second shooting, and assisting. Working with different photographers has given me insight on all of the different methods and approaches that come with being a wedding photographer and working in the wedding industry. I also majored in photography in college so I've got professional training that I apply to my business.

Where are you based? How far do you travel for weddings?

I am based currently in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The majority of my bookings are based in central PA, and Philadelphia where I previously lived. I travel all over Pennsylvania for weddings. I am also open to elopements and out of state weddings.

How many photos will we recieve?

For engagement sessions, at least 100. For weddings, it depends on how long your day goes and how many events are happening, but I average between 800-1000. You’ll receive each image in color as well as some favorites in black and white.

I would love to work with you- how do we officially book?

I'm always flattered by inquiries. However it is so important to me that potential clients make the time to review my style and approach before moving forward to make sure we are a good match. I'm always happy to answer any questions before the booking process and am open to communication via email, text, or even a phone call if you'd prefer. To officially book I require a 20% retainer fee and a signed contract. Once I recieve the retainer fee and signed contract, I send a short questionnaire with basic questions regarding your relationship just to learn more about you as a couple. From there I recommend scheduling at least 2 phone calls before the wedding just to go over the details and timeline of the day. I'm also open to meeting in person as well :)

What gear do you shoot with?

Ian and I shoot on full frame canon bodies. I am continuously upgrading my gear/lenses. I also use Canon speedlites to achieve on/off camera flash photography. When it comes to editing, I use professional grade software including Lightroom and Photoshop.

What kind of photography sessions do you offer?

I currently offer wedding, engagement, bridal, and anniversary sessions. I also offer family sessions around my wedding schedule.

Do you offer payment plans?

To book a wedding date, I require a signed contract and payment of the 20% non-refundable retainer and any travel fees, with the remaining amount due one month prior to the wedding day. I would be happy to provide you with a payment plan to make as many payments as necessary prior to the due date.

Do you have insurance and back up gear?

Yes! I can provide proof of insurance to any venue. We also carry backup cameras and SD cards/batteries on wedding days.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

I typically tell couples editing can take anywhere between 4-12 weeks depending on the time of year and how busy I am. May/June and September are typically the busiest. I always send my couples a preview a few days after the wedding and I upload to the live gallery as I edit- that way you have the option of viewing your gallery as I edit, or waiting until editing is completed to view them all at once.

Do you have a second shooter?

Yes! My significant other, Ian is my second. We work closely as a couple to shoot weddings which has been so much fun over the years. I can say he plays a crucial role in capturing unique alternative angles. Learn more about us here I also offer personalized collections featuring just myself if you're looking for a more intimate and less expensive experience with just one photographer.
